Auditions!
All auditioners who meet the eligibility requirements for any role shall be afforded equal opportunity to be considered for that role. Persons interested in a role for which they do not meet all eligibility requirements may be allowed to audition for that role at the discretion of the Director. We are a non-equity house and all performers are volunteer.
Because we perform and rehearse above a bar, we do require everyone who auditions for us be 18 years or older. We may accept auditions from younger if there is a parent or guardian who will be present at all rehearsals and performances.

Auditions for Next to Normal

We will be holding individually scheduled, five-minute auditions from 7pm-9pm on January 10th in the Club Diversity theatre.
Those interested in auditioning are asked to prepare 32 bars (about 60 seconds) of a song that shows of your range in the style of the show, as well as 32 bars of a song from the show. Please bring an Mp3 or your phone with the cuts of music (youtube is fine). There will be a speaker provided at the venue.
You will also be asked to read briefly from the scripts.

Diana - to appear late 30s early 40s. Bipolar diagnosis. Witty. Delusional and depressed mother and wife.
Mezzo/belter, range G3 - F#5, with strong mix to D5
Dan - to appear late 30s early 40s. Genuine and steadfast. Long-suffering and tired husband and father.
Bari/tenor, range Ab2 - B4, falsetto to Db5
Gabe - to appear late teens. Dashing and charismatic. Bright and playful. Willful son.
Tenor, range C3 - C5, falsetto to D5
Natalie - to appear 16ish. Gifted and burdened overachiever. Opinionated and snarky daughter.
Mezzo/belter, range G3 - G5, strong mix to E5
Henry - to appear 17ish. Supportive and inspirational. More than a bit of stoner. Tenacious boyfriend
Tenor, range A2 - B4, falsetto to C5
Dr. Madden - any age, "on the young side of ageless." Polished and assured doctor with a flash of rock star energy.
